The Reverend Alice S. Nichols

Welcome to our web page!

I have been the rector at Christ Church since June 1, 2007.  I moved to Elizabethtown from Nashville, Tennessee, where I had worked for over thirty years in the mental health field, both public and private.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Religion from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, and, in December 2005, completed a Master of Divinity degree at Vanderbilt University.  I am a relative newcomer to the priesthood but I was heavily involved in various ministries at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville for twenty years prior to ordination.  Among other things, I was chair of liturgy at the Cathedral for a number of years and was instrumental in the creation of “First Friday”—an alternative monthly Eucharistic service incorporating the arts in worship and providing spiritual outreach to the city of Nashville.

I have one daughter who is 34 and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Please come and visit with us at Christ Church.  We are committed to providing a spiritual environment that values diversity and inclusivity and promotes an atmosphere of intellectual openness and loving acceptance.

Peace and Blessings,

Alice+
